The services we provide are billed under your insurance company’s durable medical equipment benefit. Sometimes you will have a co-pay or a yearly maximum. Our staff will help as best we can to determine what your coverage will be for the device you are receiving. We can never guarantee that your insurance company will pay, we can only provide you with the information they give us – most insurance companies will not guarantee payment until they receive the claim. Please make any concerns you have known to our staff or contact your insurance plan before delivery of your device.

Many insurance plans now have deductibles. Some plans cannot give us accurate real time information on how much of your deductible has been met. Please be aware that YOU are ultimately responsible for knowing if you have a deductible. We may not be able to inform you prior to delivery if you will owe a balance based on a deductible.

We’ll say it before and we’ll say it again, we are on your side here at Cornell Orthotics & Prosthetics. We are a group of local prosthetists that have been serving the Massachusetts community for over three decades. Being around that long doesn’t happen by coincidence — it happens because we know how to take care of our patients the right way. Be sure to browse our entire site to find helpful resources and answers to frequently asked questions.

*Some Medicaid plans have organized Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and Acountable Care Organizations (ACO) which we can bill for you.  We will need the policy number to verify coverage.
