| Iceross and similar
gel roll-on liners are generally worn directly over the skin.
Before wearing, they must be cleaned with soap and sometimes
rubbing alcohol to prevent skin irritations or bacterial buildup.
Applying petroleum based skin lubricants, such as A&D ointment
or Vaseline, is helpful to reduce tension-sensitive areas
on the skin. |
 |
| Begin donning the liner
by turning it inside out completely as shown. The locking
pin must be positioned so it is pointing straight off
the bottom of the liner. A poorly aligned pin may not
engage the lock properly. It can be felt though the
liner. After the pin and bottom of the liner are positioned,
the liner is ROLLED up on the stump. Keep hands placed
on the leading edge of the liner as it is rolled up
to eliminate wrinkling. |

The goal is to roll the
liner in place without stretching to ensure even tension
on the skin. Trapped air under the liner can also be
problematic, and this rolling technique should prevent
it. |
 |
|
| The fully donned liner should
fit comfortably and appear as shown. Stump socks and
nylon sheaths are worn over the gel liner as necessary
for proper fit. |
